The Savings & Loans Societies Association was established in South Australia in 1977 when credit unions around the country were in difficulties. Its short existence came to a head in 1978 when members of the Savings and Loans Societies Association joined a working party with members of the Credit Union League of South Australia (CULSA) to find a way forward. Their solution was to band together to form the Credit Union Association of South Australia in 1979.

We hold the Savings & Loans Societies Association certificate of incorporation.
