2003 - Current
Bank Australia was registered in 2003 as Members and Education Credit Union after a merger between Members Australia Credit Union and Education Credit Union Co-operative. Calling itself bankmecu in 2011, it was Australia’s first mutual bank. It became Bank Australia in 2015. Bank Australia merged with Intech Credit Union in 2017. Intech had its own storied history beginning as IBM Employees Credit Union in Sydney in 1971.

We hold countless records of the entities that make up Bank Australia including annual reports back to the 1970s, share registers, plaques, newsletters, photographs, video and contemporary governance documents and reports published online.
