First Option Bank
GOLD SUPPORTER
Active Mutual
NSW
1965 - Current
The "First Option" name was launched in July 2005, when TAB Credit Union (NSW) [registered 1965] merged with Flying Horse Credit Union (Victoria) [registered 1972] to create a strong and secure entity that would be members’ “first option” for their banking needs. However, the First Option family is made up of many industry-based credit unions. For example, it has absorbed Australian Synthetic Rubber Employees Credit Co-operative (1993), APC Employees Credit Union (1994), Ericsson Employees Credit Co-operative (2008), among others. It became a mutual bank in 2018 and proudly serves the community at large.
Our collection of First Option family records includes annual reports from 1977 onwards, merger documentation, correspondence and contemporary governance documents and reports published online.
