Fire Service Credit Union has stuck to its guns. It is a credit union exclusively for South Australian fire and emergency services employees and their families. It describes itself as “unashamedly and proudly local”. It was created by a group of fire fighters in Adelaide who heard “the good news” and registered Fire Brigade Employees Credit Union Co-operative in 1972. It has been known as Fire Service Credit Union or FSCU since 1983. We hold FSCU annual reports from 1995 onwards as well as contemporary governance documents and reports published online.
