Hume Bank is based in Albury NSW, an area rich in mutual history. It began as a building society and was registered as Hume Co-operative Building & Investment Society in April 1955. In 1969 it became Hume Permanent Building Society and in 1988 the name was shortened to Hume Building Society. On 1 July 2014, it became Hume Bank. On 1 May 2026, it merged with Geelong Bank. Our Hume Bank collection includes their annual reports from the 21st century and contemporary governance documents and reports published online.
